Modifications

It is the goal of the family court system to create an arrangement for the parties that will work well for years to come.

A change in circumstances in the future, however, may result in a court order that no longer works well for your family or may no longer be functional or appropriate.

If you have experienced a change in circumstances since the issuance of your court order, a modification may be your best solution.

The criteria for a modification vary depending on the situation and require close analysis to determine whether a modification should be sought.

We know that your family’s circumstances can change and may require an updated order that works under your current circumstances.  We also know that the other party in your case may seek a modification that is unnecessary or without merit.  In either case, we can expertly help our clients navigate the process.

The attorneys at Schneider Peterson Law, LLC regularly provide legal counsel and advocacy when people are facing a change in circumstances and potential modification of the existing court order.
