Child Support

Minnesota uses guidelines to help determine the amount of child support that will be paid in your situation.  The guidelines consider such factors (among others) as each parent’s income, the amount of parenting time each party enjoys with the children, the cost of child care, and the cost of medical insurance.

The variety of factors used to determine child support and their effect on the ultimate financial obligation requires skilled analysis and representation.  It is important to have a strong advocate on your side when child support is established and/or when it is being modified.

The attorneys at Schneider Peterson Johnson, LLC have the experience necessary to understand how the facts of your individual situation apply to the child support guidelines and how the court will review and analyze your case.
